Help the Library

How you can help the Library

Friends of the Library – Become a Friend.  Our Friends group is always looking for volunteers to bring new fundraising ideas,  volunteer for the annual book sale in the fall or “Mums for Mom” in the spring.

Adopt-A-Day – A $25.00 donation will “adopt a day” at the library.  You may honor an anniversary, birthday, or remember a loved one in this way.  An acknowledgement is sent to the person you are honoring or remembering.  On a day that you specify, we will post the name of the person and the occasion on our “Adopt-A-Day” board.  Adopting a Day makes possible: more open hours, more new books, more large print books, and many other added services.

Adopt-A-Magazine – Simply contribute the cost of a subscription to one of our magazines.  Every issue will have a plaque with your name on it.  Adopting a magazine allows the library to stretch its periodicals budget even further.

Memorials – You may remember a friend or loved one by sending a contribution to the library.  These funds are used for the purchase of books and in some cases, furnishings for the library.  Acknowledgements are sent to both you and a family member or friend of the deceased.  A plaque is put in each book purchased with the contribution.  If memorials for a person total $300.00 or more a permanent plaque is placed in the library.

Book Donations – Your book donations, used or new, are examined to determine if they belong in our collection, or into the Friends of the Library annual book sale.
